What’s Next?: A Letter from the New Boss

Over the last year, Eat Your Serial has done its best to bring you, the reader, exciting new work in literature. With twelve books under our belts, we’re ready to move to the next step.

What is that next step?

I’m glad you asked. As I take the reins as CEO, I want to assure our faithful readers that we will continue to work to deliver the best new writing we can find. In order to do that, we are moving in a new direction. Not to worry! The books will always be there. But now we are opening up Eat Your Serial to those folks who don’t write novels, but have amazing things to say anyway.

Starting soon, Eat Your Serial will shift its primary format to a literary magazine of sorts. We’ll still feature novels in each issue, but this move will allow us to run short stories, non-fiction, poetry, and even things like comic books and graphic novels, as well. In our commitment to literary awesomeness, we will also be running contests to get great authors at least a small part of the reward they deserve.

Some of you may notice some changes coming to the site. And some of you might not. That’s because we’re keeping everything pretty much the same. Only now, instead of daily chapters, there will be buttons that allow authors to submit to the various genres we will be featuring in the literary magazine. Other than that, there will be some minor changes to the store, but the rest of the site will stay virtually the same

As we at Eat Your Serial work to build a fantastic magazine, we want to say thank you to everyone who has been a part the company, whether as writer, reader, editor, or supporter, over the last year. We really couldn’t have done it without you. I hope you’re as excited as we are to see the new face of Eat Your Serial.

Thank you,

David Missal
